Find the right therapist for you
Rachel Lapidus, PhD, LP
Clinical Psychologist
Hi! I provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and their families, as well as individual therapy for adults. I specialize in treating eating disorders, PTSD, anxiety, and OCD. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention. I am certified in Family Based Treatment for adolescent eating disorders, and often infuse elements of Emotion Focused Family Therapy into my work with clients and families.
In our time together, you can expect me to show up as my genuine self – which I see as a balanced blend of serious and silly. I deeply value my clients’ individuality and autonomy and look to create a collaborative therapeutic space that encourages empowerment and reflection. I always aim for my practice to be trauma-informed, weight inclusive, and rooted in cultural humility. My goal is for every client to live with a grounded sense of freedom, fun, and self-assurance.
When I am not working, I love going to a cute bakery, spending time in nature, watching reality TV, and snuggling my pups Ibby and Beau.
