Cross Cultural Communication with Dr. Talia Kori

In today’s interconnected world, the ability to communicate across cultural boundaries is more important than ever. Most of us are navigating intercultural relationships in some form, whether at home or at work, with partners, friends, colleagues, or clients. This webinar will explore two dimensions of cultural variability (high-low context and individualism-collectivism), highlighting the influence of culture on what and how we communicate, as well as potential implications for psychotherapy.

Dr. Talia Kori is a Clinical Psychologist at Emanate who specializes in working with culturally-diverse individuals and couples. As a first-generation immigrant, she is fascinated by the impact of culture on identity and relationships, having grown up acutely aware of her own overlapping cultural identities. She is endlessly curious about the nuances of cultural difference, committed to lifelong learning in this area, and passionate about providing culturally sensitive and affirming care.
